The couple introduced baby Archie to the world two days later, posing for photographs, but other than a sweet Mother’s Day Instagram, we have been without baby updates, with speculation rising around everything from Godparent choices and nursery colour palettes to baby fashion brands favoured by the royals.
The biggest talking point this week however has been the subject of nannies, with Harry and Meghan finally reported to have hired someone in the role, something that comes with a lot of privacy rules.
‘I’ve heard from very reliable sources that the new nanny who has now been appointed by the Sussexes has had to sign quite an extensive non-disclosure agreement,’ royal expert Katie Nicholls told Entertainment Tonight.
According to the royal expert however, Meghan is a very hands-on mother, something that having a nanny won’t change.
‘Meghan’s been up in the night nursing, feeding on demand every few hours,’ the expert explained. ‘Apparently, he’s a hungry little baby.’
Another royal expert Victoria Howard weighed in on royal nanny choices earlier this month, predicting that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will break royal tradition with their nanny choices, with rumours that it could be an American nanny.
‘I think they will look for someone who is obviously experienced, but that has more of a rounded attitude towards child rearing,’ Victoria told Express.co.uk. ’I think they will look for things that will make them aware of mental health perhaps, encouraging creativity and for them to be themselves. So I definitely think it’s going to be non-traditional, maybe someone that has been recommended by some of their Hollywood friends perhaps.’
We can’t wait for more royal baby news.
